Mindful Living Counselling

From complexity to clarity, where healing and growth are possible.

If you have been moving through life holding so much beneath the surface. Trying to appear capable on the outside while quietly carrying confusion, pain or emotional exhaustion, I see you.

There is a particular loneliness that comes when your inner world goes unseen or misunderstood. Even by people who care about you.

Welcome

I am Ava, a trauma informed counsellor.

I work with adults experiencing grief and loss, anxiety, complex trauma, identity pain and significant life transitions.

My work is grounded, attuned and informed by evidence.

I listen for the unspoken, notice what sits beneath the story and help you make sense of your inner world with clarity and compassion.Nothing you bring is too much or too messy to explore together.

You do not need to perform or minimise anything here.

We will work at your pace, support the nervous system, understand the patterns that shape your life and strengthen your connection to what is true, whole and possible within you.

From complexity to clarity, change is possible.

If you are ready to begin this work, I am here.

Warmly

THE FOUR CLINICAL PILLARS

These four pillars shape the way I support your healing and growth.

Nervous system awareness

Understanding your body’s responses to stress, overwhelm, shutdown, or emotional overload so that you can build regulation, capacity, and internal safety.

Parts and inner world understanding

Becoming aware of the different emotional parts within you, how they developed, and what they are trying to protect, so you can move toward greater self leadership, clarity, and wholeness.

Meaning making and insight

Exploring what your experiences have cost, taught, and shaped in you, and supporting you to develop insight, coherence, and a stronger relationship with your values, boundaries, and needs.

Integration and forward movement

Turning insight into lived change, developing new patterns over time, and practising ways of being that support emotional regulation, connection, and a life that aligns with who you are becoming.

Theraputic Approaches and Mordalities

I draw from a range of evidence based modalities to support your wellbeing, including:

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • EMDR,

  • Somatic Therapy,

  • Narrative Therapy and,

  • Mindfulness based approaches.
